Newborn
Welcome to Lauren Dunn Photography’s (LDP) newborn sessions page! First off, I would personally like to congratulate you on your new addition to your family! Newborn sessions are an amazing way of capturing the memory of how small your baby is when they first enter the world. Right now, LDP doesn’t offer fresh 48, in-home or lifestyle newborn sessions, just studio and outdoor. I do have a large variety of wraps, outfits and props but am welcome to parents bringing anything they may want to incorporate into pictures.
When to schedule newborn sessions?
It's best to preemptively schedule your session while you are still pregnant. We can put a tentative date in the books and change the date later if needed. Typically, tentative dates are set 5-14 days after your due date and can be adjusted after the baby arrives. After the baby arrives, it is still best to schedule the session within the 5-14 day range. If the baby is already here or older than 2 weeks old, don’t fret! Contact me ASAP to schedule your little one’s session. Please note that if your baby has been circumcised, we will need the session date to be at least 5 days after the procedure to allow for ample healing time! If you show up to your session and I am able to visibly see that the wound is still raw, you will be sent home and we will reschedule.
